Narita Airport (Tokyo International Airport)
There are two terminals in Narita Airport: Terminals 1 and 2.
The Airport is approximately 60 km from the heart of Tokyo.

Access

  1. From Narita Airport to Shinjuku Station:

    Major means of accesses include trains and buses. Main railway trains are of JR Line and Keisei Line.

    We strongly recommend taking Narita Express (N'EX) of JR Line.

    • Narita Express (JR Line) (limited express, all seats reserved)
      Take the Narita Express from Airport Terminal (1 or 2) Station direct to Shinjuku Station (about 85 minutes). It runs every 30-60 minutes.
      Fare: 3,110 yen (for an ordinary ticket and a limited-express supplement with seat reservation).

    • Skyliner (Keisei Line) (limited express, all seats reserved)
      You must transfer to a JR Line train at Nippori Station from the Skyliner.

      1. Take the Skyliner from Airport Terminal (1 or 2) Station direct to Nippori Station (36 minutes). It runs every 60 minutes.
             Fare: 2,400 yen (for an ordinary ticket and a limited-express supplement with seat reservation).
      2. At Nippori Station, transfer to Yamanote line of JR to Shinjuku Station. It runs every 5 minutes and about 17-minute ride.
             Fare to Shinjuku Station: 190 yen

    • Buses Buses for all destinations (e.g., Shinjuku Station, Tokyo Station) depart from the arrivals level of Passenger Terminals 1 and 2 at the airport. Bus stops are divided by destination. Passengers will not need to change buses on the way to their destinations.
      Fare to Shinjuku Station: 3,000 yen, 150-minute ride depending on traffic situation.
      Fare to Tokyo Station: 3,000 yen, 80-minute ride depending on traffic situation.
      Take the JR Chuo Line at Tokyo Station to Shinjuku Station (14-minute ride).


  2. From Shinjuku Station to the NYC:

    Transfer at Shinjuku Station to a local train on the Odakyu Line. Get off at Sangubashi Station which is two stops (3 minutes) from Shinjuku Station on the Odakyu Line.
    Fare to Sangubashi Station: 120 yen.
    The NYC is about 7-minute walk from Sangubashi Station. Please confirm the way on the map below.

    Notice: Please be sure to take a local train which stops at every station on the line. All other trains will not stop at Sangubashi Station.


  3. How to get to a local train on the Odakyu Line at Shinjuku Station:

    In the building of Shinjuku Station there are three stations of different railway companies: JR, Odakyu, Keio.
    After arrival to Shinjuku Station by NEX (from the Narita airport) please go to the "South Exit" (NOT the "New South Exit") of Shinjuku Station (JR), leave it and find on the right side in about 10 meters "Odakyu Line South Gate" and the machines selling tickets. Touch the menu "English" on the display board of the machine. After buying the ticket (120 yen) please enter the Gate and go to the platform of tracks 8 and 9, and take the local train (NOT "Section Semi-Express" train).
    Please confirm the sign "LOCAL" (not "SECTION SEM-EXP.") which is displayed in the middle of each car.
